Cinemas around Ellesmere Port

Vue Cheshire Oaks & IMAX

Stanney Ln, Ellesmere Port CH65 9HD, UK – 0345 308 4620

Booked tickets online. Place was nice n clean. This time the cinema was louder (screen 8).. Last time we were at Screen 13 and ut was really quiet

After a previous experience of poor customer service (rude staff) we decided to give Vue At Cheshire Oaks a second chance. We visited on Saturday evening at around 8pm to watch Dunkirk. The front desks were closed with a notice saying to purchase tickets and the refreshments counter. The main foyer was clean and tidy, queues were only a few people long. On our previous visit we were ignored by staff members when we arrived and given the impression that we were an inconvenience to their gossiping. They didn’t explain any of the food and drink deals so we were left to pay extortionate prices for a drink and popcorn then quickly returned to chatting. However this time we felt was completely different experience, we were served quickly by a very friendly girl (think her name was Louise, she wore glasses). She gave us her full attention and gave my autistic son plenty of time to decide on where to sit, she explained all the food and drink deals and went out of her way to help us to our seats after we purchased more popcorn than we could carry! Overall she is a fantastic employee at Vue, and we hope the management take note of this! We ended up with mountains of popcorn, and drinks like buckets all for less that we paid on our previous visit. My son had a brilliant time and can’t wait to go again!

The Coliseum Leisure

13 Coliseum Way, Ellesmere Port CH65 9HD, UK – 0151 355 6175

Great fun for all the family. Good value, lots of things to do as well as bowling. My huge family regularly go there and love it as much as we did the first time

Nice place to take the kids bowling. There are a few arcade games and a small fast food resturant and a bar for drinks. The toilets were a little grubby but the kids had loads of fun.

Cheshire Oaks

12 Coliseum Way, Ellesmere Port CH65 9HD, UK – 0151 356 0907

Arrived at 5pm to find all the car parks full so drove around for twenty minutes until a space became available. Then went for tea at the Hungry horse. Only one person serving for both drinks and food..waited 15 minutes to be served...maybe thats why its called Hungry Horse!! Food was good but they mixed the order up. Felt sorry for the poor staff who were obviously overworked but they were still smiling.

Went here for a family meal, was served quite quickly, the food and drink was fantastic. Really good value for money I thought. Various offers on each day, Tuesday for example (as of typing this) is big plate specials for those with a larger appetite, only £6. Will be visiting here again.
